I am originally from New York where I received my Master's in painting from Hunter College in 1972 and later did postgraduate work at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Although my Master's Degree was in painting, while I was in Madison I turned my interest to pottery under the influence of nationally known ceramic artist, Don Reitz. I have not only developed my career as a studio potter and exhibiting artist, but since 1966 I have continually been engaged as an art instructor. In the 1980's I lived and worked as a clay artist in New Mexico and exhibited my clay work in Santa Fe and a variety of galleries in other cities. During this time I received A National Endowment for the Arts "Artist in the School" grant. I was also on the Board of Directors of the Bond House Museum and Cultural Center and taught ceramics at Northern New Mexico Community College. I have recently returned to New Mexico from Minneapolis, Minnesota where I lived and worked for 25 years. I am currently pursuing my career as a clay artist and involved with the Santa Fe Community College and Santa Fe Clay.
